What is the Mermaid Week?

The Mermaid Week is a 7-day international adventure trip for mermaids, mermen, underwater models and underwater photographers. Participants will practice mermaid swimming movements, breath hold techniques and underwater modelling skills. Afterwards they will get into the amazing blue and crystal-clear waters for several underwater shoots. As a result, participants will receive outstanding photos and videos of themselves in beautiful underwater locations.

There are typically 2-3 Mermaid retreats planned each year with different locations most times. At Mermaid Week Maldives participants were lucky to see dolphins and got to swim with whale sharks and manta rays whilst spending a week on a luxury yacht.

During Mermaid Week Tahiti mermaids got daily sting ray cuddles, saw dolphins and got to swim with humpback whales, pilot whales, reef sharks, tiger sharks, eagle rays and many more amazing sea creatures.

At Mermaid Week Mexico mermaids and mermen discover crystal clear waters in the beautiful cenotes (underwater caves).

Participation requirements

In order to participate in our Mermaid Weeks, you need to be able to swim well and safely. We also recommend general basic fitness. No experience in freediving, scuba diving, mermaid swimming or underwater modelling is required. Depending on your personal level, we offer you as much support as necessary. Since we firmly believe that mermaids and mermen come in all sizes, shapes, colours, age groups and genders, there are no visual criteria to be met. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
